False notifications of Directors page
The scammers create a false Facebook fanpage and a tab
customized. The latter, which is used as a "landing page" for fraudsters
(which means that all users land on this page when they
click on the link) is a link redirect. To promote
page, the scammers will add many users on Facebook
as directors of the malicious page. When users are
designated as such, they receive an email notifying them about their
"New social status."
Upon receipt of such notification, users, fueled by curiosity,
click on the link because they do not know this or they
not remember having already participated in the creation of fanpage. when
They then land on the false Facebook page, they are redirected to
a malicious page. In the variant identified in this example, the
malicious page is used to collect personal data
victim (e-mail and shipping addresses).
